HUDSON VALLEY vs. FRANCE TASTING COMPETITION

Remember the Great Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, as seen in the recent movie "Bottle Shock." In this competition which shook the wine world, American wines beat French wines, by French Judges, in France. Join us at Oak Summit Vineyard where we enjoy an up-to-date version of this historic event. You will be blind tasting and judging 3 Gold Medal Hudson River Wines, against 3 Gold Medal French Wines of the same varieties. See for yourself if we have come of age.

'BEST OF THE HUDSON' GRAND WINE LUNCHEONS

This unique gourmet experience is a masterful pairing of the best wines and foods of the Hudson Valley. The deluxe 5 course Luncheon is centered on the freshest, seasonal foods grown or raised in the Hudson Valley. The menu is prepared on site by John C D Bruno, CFMP, the owner of Oak Summit Vineyard; and the wines are served by Nancy Lynn Bruno, SSA, the vineyard's director of Marketing and Cellarmaster. Three wines made from our grapes are served, along with the participants choice of two French or Italian Grande Crus 1988, 89 or 90. The event is served at a candlelit oak table, hand carved in the 19th century in Beacon, NY.

FOUR GREAT PORT WINES OF THE 20th CENTURY

Join us for some of our PINOT NOIR and partake in this rare treat. You will be seated at a hand-carved 19th century Oak Table by a roaring fire, and served in crystal stemware. 4 ounces of each of the above and Stilton cheese, breads, crackers, fruit, and nuts.
